Romsey Robbery: Police Hunt Man Who Threatened Staff with Crowbar at Co-op
Masked Thief Makes Off with Meat from Romsey Co-op
Hampshire Constabulary is on the lookout for a man linked to a robbery at the Co-op in The Hundred, Romsey. The brazen heist happened around 6.10pm on Friday 17 August.
The suspect swept steaks, meat joints, and boxed items into a bag before making a dash for the exit—without paying a penny. When confronted by staff, he pulled out a small crowbar and threatened them, then disappeared towards the nearby bus station.
Desperate to Identify: Who Is This Man?
Police have released CCTV images to help track down the thief. He is described as:
- White male, aged 20-25
- About 6ft tall, slim build
- Short, dark, unkempt hair
- Sunken facial features
- Wearing dark blue hooded top, dark trousers, black trainers with a white Nike swoosh
Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.
