A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in west London over terror suspicions. Police swooped on a West London home at around 10am on Wednesday, 29 August, and launched a search.
Officers found cannabis plants and what they believe is an imitation firearm. They also uncovered items containing an unknown substance.
Specialist Officers Called In
Experts were brought to the scene as a safety precaution to recover the suspicious items. These will now undergo urgent testing to identify the substances. Police cordons remain tight around the property.
Teen Held on Terror Charges
The teen was first arrested for possession of the fake firearm and growing cannabis. He was later charged under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 for preparing or instigating terror acts. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
