Police Hunt 12 Football Hooligans After Millwall vs Everton Violence
Police have released photos of 12 suspects linked to violent disorder before, during, and after the Millwall vs Everton match on Saturday, 26 January.
Chaos Erupts at Football Match
Detective Sergeant Matt Simpson from the Met’s Public Order Investigation team described the scenes as some of the worst football violence in years. One man suffered a life-changing facial injury, and chaos spilled onto the streets.
“The disorder which broke out on Saturday, 26 January was some of the worst football violence we have witnessed for a very long time. It left one man with a life-changing injury to his face, and caused chaos in the streets.”
Police Launch Major Investigation
Detectives are working around the clock to identify everyone involved in this shocking behaviour. The images of 12 individuals wanted for questioning have been released to the public.
“The public can play a huge role in helping police, especially by assisting us in identifying wanted individuals. You are our eyes and ears,” said Det Sgt Simpson.
