Burger King submit planning application to open restaurant on the Isle of Wight

Fast food chain Burger King has formally submitted plans to open the Isle of Wight’s first burger restaurant by the popular chain. If the planning application is approved by the Isle of Wight Council the restaurant with a drive-through will open on Coppins Bridge retail park. The planning approval could see up to fifty-six new jobs created. The site currently has a Cineworld, Pizza Hut and KFC. Former shops Maplin and Office Outlet have both closed within the last year. The submitted plans also include a separate application by The Gym group for a 24-hour gym. Alterations to parking and access are likely.
