Coastguard Team called to suspected Ordnance at Woody Bay on the Isle of Wight

The Ventnor Coastguard search and rescue team have been mobilised by the UK Coastguard following that discovery of what is understood to be suspected ordnance on a beach on the Isle of Wight The team have been scrambled after a member of the public raised the alarmed just before 12pm on Tuesday. The team have been tasked to locate and inspect the find on Woody Bay beach near the village of St. Lawrence. Its shoreline is only 260 yards long.
