A 23-year old man arrested on Saturday (15 June) on suspicion of rape, following an attack on a woman in Brighton’s Pavilion Gardens the previous weekend, remains in police custody. On Monday morning (17 June) city magistrates extended his detention for a further 36 hours to allow detectives to make further enquiries.
