Emergency crews called to motorcycle crash near Yarmouth

Isle of Wight fire fighters from Freshwater along Paramedics, a community first responder and Police have this evening been called to a collision involving a motorcycle and rider. The collision happened near Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight on Thursday evening. Police, the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and a Co-Responder were called to Halletts Shute between Yarmouth and Freshwater when the rider of a bronze coloured motorcyclist came off the vehicle. Firefighters made the crash scene safe after fuel from the bike leaked on to the road surface. The man was treated at the scene and transported to St Mary’s hospital in Newport for further treatments.
