Canterbury Man Caught Boozing Behind the Wheel

Petru Andries, 45, from Stodmarsh Road, Canterbury, has been slammed with a three-year driving ban for drink-driving.

Over Double the Legal Limit

The 19 January stop in Fordwich revealed Andries blew 92 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath — nearly three times the legal limit of 35.

Unpaid Work and Fines Hit Hard

At Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 9 February 2022, Andries pleaded guilty. He was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. On top of that, he must pay a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs.
