Three Arrested in Murder Probe of Woman Found Dead in Blackheath

Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a woman discovered dead in Blackheath.

Suspects Held in Custody

A 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, 7 July, followed by a 49-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man on Monday, 8 July. All three are being held on suspicion of murder at a south London police station.

Body Found in Blackheath Garage

The grim discovery was made on Friday, 5 July, around 5pm at garages on Prendergast Road. Police launched an investigation led by the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command after reports of a body inside one of the garages.

The death is suspicious. Formal identification is underway, though the victim is believed to be the woman reported missing on 15 May. A post-mortem on Sunday, 7 July at Greenwich mortuary failed to establish the cause of death.
