Two Men Busted Over Isle of Wight Knife Robbery
Knife Point Attack in Ryde
Just before 1am on Sunday, October 13, a gang was targeted at knifepoint on Swanmore Road, Ryde. Police say a 17-year-old boy was badly assaulted during the terrifying robbery. The thieves made off with a handbag and bank cards.
Suspects Slapped With Five Robbery Charges Each
Dylan Robert Doughty, 22, homeless, and Ashley Jones, 21, from Ryde’s High Street, were charged with five counts of robbery. Both men faced Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (October 15).
Next Stop: Crown Court
The pair were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Newport Crown Court on November 25 as the investigation continues.
