Eight arrested after Ilford death

Detectives investigating the death of man found in a rural lane in Ilford have arrested eight people and charged one man. At 6.12am on Saturday, 2 November, police were called to reports of an unresponsive male at Oaks Lane, Ilford. Officers attended. At the scene, Vladislavs Radionovs, 57, a Latvian national of no fixed UK address, was found deceased. On 10 November, six men and one woman, aged between 26 and 48, were arrested on suspicion of Mr Radionovs’ murder after a warrant was executed at an address in Ilford. They have all been released on bail until a date in early December. Linas Gasiunas, 36 of no fixed abode was arrested on 12 November. He was charged on 13 November with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and theft of a mobile phone. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on 13 November and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 11 December. At 6.12am on Saturday, 2 November, police were called to reports of an unresponsive male at Oaks Lane, Ilford. Officers attended.
