A man has been locked up for 20 years after savagely attacking his friend with an axe in a shocking unprovoked assault.
20 Years Behind Bars for Axe Attack
Mohammed Fadla, who has no fixed address, was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Monday, 9 December. He had already pleaded guilty to attempted murder for the horrific attack on 23 July 2018.
Friend Struck Multiple Times While in Bed
Fadla viciously struck his friend multiple times with an axe while the victim was lying in bed in a flat in Streatham. The victim suffered serious injuries to his head and ear and was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
Fadla Flees then Turns Himself In
After the attack, Fadla fled the scene in a van where he was living. He later handed himself over to police. Claiming memory loss and mental health struggles, he told officers he can’t recall the violent assault.
