School boy “very fortunate” after being hit by car in Cranbrook

A schoolboy is “very fortunate” after the crash the junction of the High Street and Stone Street in Cranbrook just after 8.30am today. Emergency services were called after the local boy was struck by a car near to Harpers and Hurlingham property consultants. Staff who’d just arrived to unlock for the morning saw the collision and came out, redenering first aid until the arrival of the Police and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance service. “The boy has been very fortunate. A reminder to all pedestrians to follow the green cross code.” No arrests have been made, police said. A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: “They were called at 8.37am on 10 December 2019 to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Stone Street, Cranbrook. The pedestrian was a child, who is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries. Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and the child was taken to hospital, as a precaution. There have been no arrests.
