Man Airlifted to London Hospital After Brutal Attack on Maidstone Street
A middle-aged man is fighting for his life after a savage attack on Maidstone’s Pudding Lane Thursday evening. Police quickly sealed off the area, setting up crime scenes at both ends of the street.
Bystanders Tried to Save Victim
A woman out with her two young children witnessed the horrifying scene. She told officers the victim was viciously kicked while lying on the ground. Nearby, a man walking his dog jumped in, trying to stop the assault.
Life-Saving Air Ambulance Intervention
Paramedics landed in Mote Park just after 9pm, rushing to save the man. They used advanced equipment to sedate and intubate him before airlifting him to a specialist hospital in London.
Police Hunt for Clues
Kent Police crime scene officers have been collecting DNA, blood, and glass shards near a bus stop on Pudding Lane. The investigation is ongoing, and a crime scene remains in place.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “At 7.44pm on Thursday 10 February 2022, patrols were called to a disturbance in Pudding Lane, Maidstone. A man was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital for medical treatment. We urge witnesses or anyone with information to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 10-1162.”
