Cop Caught Lying About Child Sex Attack
A serving police officer has been slammed guilty of perverting the course of justice at Kingston Crown Court. Hitesh Lakhani, 42, a police constable on the Central West Command Unit, was convicted on Tuesday, 10 December.
Fake Child Assault Call Sparks Investigation
On 5 September 2018, while off duty, PC Lakhani made a shocking call claiming a child had been sexually assaulted in Uxbridge. This kicked off a serious police probe.
No Evidence, Just a Lie

- CCTV footage proved the attack never happened.
- PC Lakhani is now on restricted duties.
He faces sentencing on 10 January 2020. Following his criminal case, a police misconduct hearing will get underway.
