Sussex Police officer suffered from a blood clot in his spine causing him to be paralysed

Police Constable Darren Triggs aged 36 years a serving Sussex Officer of 14 years has tragically suffered from a blood clot in his spine causing him to be paralysed from the chest down. Sadly the Surgeon that tried to save Darren’s mobility has stated Darren will never walk again. This has changed Darren’s ability to care for his children in the way he wanted to with a sad realisation he himself will need on going care/support. On the morning of the 3rd of December 2019 Darren was at home with his wife (who is 7 months pregnant) and two young children when he felt chest pain and numbness in his legs. He was rushed into Surgery to help with a clot in his spine and sadly Surgeons were unable to save his ability to walk or sit up. Darren is married to Rosie, they have two young children, Daisy aged four and Amelie aged 23 months with their third child due in 6 weeks. Darren and his family will receive all money raised through this page to help and support them initially through this tragic time and the subsequent months/years of coping with being disabled. A just giving page has been set up for Darren and his family Just Giving Page if you can help
