Woman Dies After Disturbance in Chingford
Detectives are probing the suspicious death of a woman in Chingford last Wednesday night.
Tragic Discovery on Waverley Avenue
Police were called at 11:30pm on 22 January to a disturbance at an address in Waverley Avenue, E4. Officers found a woman in her 60s with serious head injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man in 20s Arrested
Police believe they know the woman’s identity and are informing her next of kin. A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is now in custody at a north London police station.
Officers say the deceased and the suspect were known to each other. An autopsy will be arranged in due course.
