Homophobic Abuse Rocks Millwall v Reading Match

Football fans at Saturday’s Millwall v Reading clash were shocked as a match official faced homophobic abuse during the game. The incident unfolded around 3.30pm in the East Stand, and is believed to have involved home supporters.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Video Footage

Officers are on the lookout for anyone who saw the unacceptable abuse or who may have captured it on camera. They urge witnesses to come forward to aid their investigation.

Investigation Underway

DC Phil Dickinson, Met’s Public Order Crime Team, said: “We take any allegation of abuse very seriously and are investigating this matter. If anyone was at last Saturday’s game and witnessed the incident, or has video footage of it, I would urge them to come forward to assist us in our investigation.”
