Baby Safe But Hospitalised – Mother’s Safety Concerned

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the baby is now in the care of an East London hospital. Initial investigations suggest the newborn was born outside a hospital setting.

Inspector Kevin Weeks from the Central East Command Unit made a direct plea to the baby’s mother:

“I urge the mother to get in touch with the police, local hospital, or GP surgery to confirm you are safe and to receive any medical care you may need. Our priority is the wellbeing of both you and your child.”

The police are also appealing to anyone with information that could help reunite the baby with his mum.
