Puppy Snatched at Knifepoint in Orpington – Police Hunt Two Suspects
Police are urgently appealing for help after a British bulldog puppy named Spot was stolen during a terrifying knifepoint robbery in Orpington.
Armed Thugs Steal Puppy on Morning Walk
At around 8:50am on Tuesday, 3 March, Spot’s owner, a man in his early 30s, was walking the tiny puppy along Lullingstone Crescent. As he neared the Grovelands Road junction, two men jumped out of a white Mercedes CLA Sport.
The driver brandished a knife and threatened the owner before snatching the weeks-old puppy. The suspects then sped away in the car, while the victim gave chase on foot. The pair were last spotted on the A20 at Fiveways.
Police Hunt Two Men Seen in Mercedes
The stolen car was later traced to the Canning Town and Stratford areas. Officers have described the suspects as two black men, both around 20 years old. The driver has cornrows, a scar on his right cheek, and wore a white or cream jacket with black patches and red trim. The passenger had short hair and wore a navy blue jacket with matching patches.
Police Urge Public to Help Find Spot
Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the robbery or recognises the men to come forward. They want information on both the suspects and Spot’s whereabouts.
“If you have any information, please call police on 101 quoting reference CAD 1632/03MAR,” police said.
