Arson investigation launched after suspicious fire in Canterbury

Kent Police is appealing for information following a suspicious fire in Hambrook Marshes, Canterbury. The fire is believed to have started between 3pm and 3.30pm on Thursday 19 March 2020 and destroyed a pond-dipping platform. Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fire was extinguished with no injuries reported. Subsequent investigations have led to the fire being treated as arson. Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information about those involved. Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/57593/20.
