Blaze Rips Through London Flat: One Man Hospitalised
A fierce fire devastated most of a four-room ground floor flat and damaged part of a first-floor flat in London this morning. Three men escaped the burning ground floor flat before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters Battle Intense Flames
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 19 emergency calls about the blaze. Sub Officer Kim Jerray-Silver described the scene: “On arrival, crews faced a fully developed and very visible fire.” Flames licked just a metre from a window as firefighters raced to contain it.
“Crews worked extremely hard to quickly put out the fire,” she added. Firefighters conducted thorough searches to ensure no one else was trapped and to comfort anxious residents.

- The fire was reported at 9:07am and extinguished by 10:34am.
- Firefighters from Chiswick, Acton, North Kensington, and Richmond rushed to the scene.
- London Ambulance Service took one man to hospital for treatment.
