Man Faces Ten Charges After Violent Rampage in Margate

A 27-year-old man has been hit with ten charges following a chaotic disturbance in Cliftonville, Margate.

Two Women Assaulted, Police Called

Kent Police were scrambled to Lower Northdown Avenue at around 7pm on Saturday, 23 May 2020, after reports that two women had been assaulted.

Cars Smashed, Including Police Vehicle

The rampage didn’t stop there. Six cars were damaged — one of them a police vehicle attending the scene.

Connor Silver Charged and Remanded

Connor Silver, of Lower Northdown Avenue, was charged on Sunday, 24 May with:

  • Causing grievous bodily harm
  • Assault by beating
  • Six counts of criminal damage
  • Possession of a kitchen knife in a public place
  • Public order offence

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 25 May and was remanded in custody. Silver’s next court date is at Canterbury Crown Court on 29 June.
