Teen Gun Gang Busted in Epsom Taxi Stop
Two teenagers have been locked up after cops found a firearm, ammo, and a deadly zombie knife during a taxi search. Patrick Santos, 19, from Romford, was handed five years at Croydon Crown Court. His mate, 18-year-old Jordan Carr from Enfield, got one year in a Young Offender’s Institution.
Specialist Officers Make Arrest
Officers from Specialist Crime stopped the mini-cab on Tilley Lane, Epsom, on the night of 19 March, investigating firearm crimes. Santos and Carr were passengers in the back when cops moved in. Santos immediately admitted having a gun.
- Santos had a revolver and ammunition hidden in his jacket and bag.
- Carr was caught with a zombie knife and a sheaf tucked in his waistband.
Criminal Behaviour Order Bans Duo From Meeting
The judge slapped a four-year Criminal Behaviour Order banning Santos and Carr from being in public places together anywhere in England and Wales.
Santos pleaded guilty to possession of a prohibited weapon and carrying ammo without a certificate on 13 May. Carr admitted possession of a pointed/bladed article in public on 17 April. Both refused to talk when questioned at a south London police station.
Police Urge Public to Help Cut Violent Crime
“Two dangerous weapons taken off the streets could easily have caused serious injury or worse,” said Detective Inspector Glenn Butler. “Weapons like these have no place on our streets.”
“The Met remains focused on beating violent crime and taking weapons off London’s streets. We need the public’s help and urge anyone with info on weapons or crime to come forward.”
