Rock-Throwing Teens Put Drivers in Danger on A249
Police have ramped up patrols after reports of a gang of youths hurling rocks at motorists near Kemsley. A lorry driver had a lucky escape when a projectile smashed into their windscreen on the A249 at around 1.40pm on 21 August 2020.

Chief Inspector Sounds Warning
“Throwing items from motorway bridges is exceptionally reckless and has the potential to cause fatalities,” said Swale District Commander Chief Inspector Alan Rogers.
“Those involved might not realise the devastating consequences of their actions. Besides risking innocent lives, they could end up with a criminal record that scars their future.”
“I urge parents to talk to their kids about the dangers. Officers will be patrolling the area and cracking down on anyone caught carrying out this dangerous behaviour.”
