French Bulldog Puppy Stolen in Shocking Bakersfield Burglary
Police have questioned a woman after a cherished French bulldog puppy was snatched during a break-in in Bakersfield. The lilac and tan female pup vanished between 3pm and 5pm on Monday, 31 August 2020.
Detectives Launch Hunt for Missing Puppy
Detective Constable Colin Kirkup from Nottinghamshire Police said: “We’ve searched several homes, seized items, and made an arrest as we dig deeper into this despicable crime. Our team is working tirelessly to find the puppy and reunite her with her devastated owner.”
Officers are urging anyone with information about the missing pup’s whereabouts to come forward. The puppy’s welfare is a major concern given her young age and lack of proper care.
£500 Reward on Offer – Owners Desperate for Help
A £500 reward is now up for grabs for information leading to the safe return of the stolen dog. The police are especially asking members of dog groups on social media to spread the word and report any suspicious activity.
Detective Kirkup added, “If you or anyone you know has been offered this puppy for sale, please contact Nottinghamshire Police immediately.”
Suspect Arrested and Released Under Investigation
A 26-year-old woman was arrested this morning on suspicion of handling stolen goods. She has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
