£251k Ferrari 488 Shunted in Winchester Tjunction Smash
A sleek grey Ferrari 488 worth a whopping £251,590 was badly damaged in a crash at the junction of Moorside Road and Easton Lane, Winchester, on Saturday morning.
Luxury Supercar Sideswiped by Van
The 2017 Ferrari, packing a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 and capable of hitting 211mph, was hit by a passing van while waiting at the junction. Witnesses were stunned to see the high-end supercar side-swiped in such a busy spot.
Owner’s Pride Damaged, But No Injuries
Police rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. Thankfully, no one was hurt – only the owner’s pride and joy took a hit. The Ferrari was recovered after the smash.
Just Days Old on Owner’s Insurance
Adding insult to injury, the car had only been in the owner’s hands for 119 days and was covered by a motor trader’s policy at the time. A costly lesson in supercar ownership on Winchester’s roads.
