Monster Rapist Locked Up for 23 Years
A vile predator who raped two girls starting from their childhood has been slammed with a 23-year jail sentence. Preston Paris, 50, finally met justice at Leicester Crown Court on Friday, 16 October, after being convicted of multiple horrific sex crimes earlier this week.
Horrific Abuse Spanned 15 Years
Paris, from Tarragon Road, Leicester, abused one victim from the age of eight and another from 12. His crimes stretched from 2001 to 2016. The court found him guilty of:
- Five counts of rape
- Four counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 13
- Three counts of sexual activity with a child
- Two counts of raping a girl under 13
- One count of indecent assault
Lifetime Registration and Harsh Restrictions
Alongside his lengthy prison term, Paris faces a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and has been placed on the sex offenders register for life. He’ll also spend an extra year on licence after release.
Detective’s Message to Victims
“Paris began abusing the first victim nearly 20 years ago – but today is finally facing the consequences of his abhorrent and unspeakable crimes,” said Detective Constable Anna Blockley from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit. “I am pleased that he has been brought to justice and is going to serve a significant custodial sentence. While no time in prison will erase the victims’ memories of the abuse and suffering they had to endure, I hope they can take some relief from the fact he is no longer living as a free man.”
