Urgent Search Underway After Man Seen Jumping Into Swollen River
Emergency crews launched a frantic search after reports of a man plunging into a river at dawn.
The man was spotted entering the water at 4.22am, sparking serious concern for his safety amid the river’s dangerous, swollen conditions caused by recent heavy rain.
Police Race to Find Missing Man
Detective Inspector Richard Coulton from Leeds CID urged the public to help locate the missing man.
“We are urgently trying to trace this man – the river is particularly swollen at the moment given the recent weather conditions and we are doing all we can to try and locate him.”
Authorities warn the river is hazardous, making the search a race against time.
