Man Charged Over Gravesend Drug Bust

Cops nabbed a man on suspicion of drug offences after stopping a car in Gravesend.

Toyota Yaris Stopped on Suspicion

Local officers pulled over a Toyota Yaris on Old Road East at around 8.45pm on 4 November 2020. The four men inside were suspected of dealing drugs.

Four Arrested, One Charged

  • All four men were taken to North kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police Station and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
  • Officers found cash and two mobile phones in the vehicle.
  • Casey Butler, 22, from Maple Road, Penge, faces charges for involvement in supplying Class A drugs.

Butler is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on 6 November 2020.

Other Suspects Released

An 18-year-old from maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone, a 19-year-old from London, and a 17-year-old from Rochester were released while enquiries continue.
