Man in 60s Brutally Attacked in Belvedere Building
Police are hunting witnesses after a man in his 60s was viciously assaulted inside a building on Lyndon Road, Belvedere. The victim suffered injuries to his face and torso.
Dramatic Emergency Response
The attack took place on Wednesday, 31 July 2025. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. The victim was quickly taken to hospital, where medics confirmed his injuries were non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. He has now been discharged.
One Arrest Made, Another Suspect Sought
A man in his 40s was arrested on 6 August on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH). He has been bailed pending further inquiries. Meanwhile, detectives are eager to speak with another man, believed to be in his 50s, who may have information or involvement in the incident.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Thursday, 31 July, officers and the London Ambulance Service responded to reports of an assault at an address in Lyndon Road, Belvedere. A man aged in his 60s sustained injuries to the face and torso and was taken to hospital for treatment. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and has been bailed pending further enquiries. Police are keen to speak with another man, aged in his 50s, in connection with the incident.”
