A passerby found the poor bird and called the RSPCA. When rescuers arrived, they found both its legs broken and wings and feathers in a terrible state. Tragically, the bird had to be put to sleep – the kindest mercy after such suffering.

Wildlife Victim of Brutal Glue Traps

Shockingly, glue traps that cause such harm aren’t illegal. But the RSPCA strongly condemns their use. These cruel devices cause terrible injuries to birds and other wildlife.

Spot Glue Traps? Act Now!

If you spot glue traps being sold to the public, don’t stay silent. The RSPCA urges people to report it immediately.

  • Note the store’s name and full address (postcode too, if you can).
  • If possible, get the manager or owner’s name and address.
  • Record the date you saw the traps for sale.

Then email [email protected]. Your tip could stop more wildlife suffering.
