Southampton Drug Bust Seizes Knives, Crossbows and Nunchucks in Major Police Raid
Six Addresses Raided in Crackdown
Police stormed six homes across Southampton on 17 and 18 November, hitting addresses on Imperial Avenue, Outer Circle, Richmond Gardens, Witts Hill, Victory Crescent, and Shirley Road. The swoop uncovered a haul of suspected Class B drugs, plus a knife, four crossbows, and even nunchucks.
18-Year-Old Charged Over Drug Conspiracy
Stanley Woods, 18, from Imperial Avenue, was charged with conspiracy to import and supply Class B drugs, as well as two counts linked to Class A drugs including ecstasy. He was remanded and appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on 19 November. Woods faces his next court date at Southampton Crown Court on 18 December.
Multiple Arrests and Bail Conditions
- A 16-year-old girl from Fareham was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. She was bailed with strict conditions after interview.
- A 17-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested for involvement in supplying Class B drugs and later granted bail with conditions.
- A 20-year-old Southampton woman also faced arrest over suspected Class B drug supply, released on bail after questioning.
- A 35-year-old Southampton woman was arrested on suspicion of firearm possession and released under investigation.
Police Pledge to Tackle Drug-Linked Crime
The Serious Organised Crime Unit led the operation, aided by Southampton West Neighbourhood Team.
“We are committed and doing everything we can to tackle drugs and associated crime in our area and keep our communities safe,” Hampshire Police said.
“Where there are drugs, there is often violence. When we deal with weapons-related violence, drugs are almost always present.”
