Broadmoor Patient Found Guilty of Murder in Shocking Dartmouth Park Hill Case
Jordan Bramble, 22, currently held at Broadmoor, has been found responsible for the murder of Carl Thorpe, 46. The killing took place at Dartmouth Park Hill Hospital back in February 2019.
Unfit to Stand Trial, But Justice Served
Bramble was ruled unfit to stand trial due to his mental health. Instead, a rare “trial of the facts” was held at The Central Criminal Court starting 16 November. This type of trial lets a jury hear evidence without the defendant present and decide if the accused committed the act.
Jury Unanimous: Bramble Guilty of Murder
On 25 November, the jury reached a unanimous verdict confirming Bramble’s guilt in the murder of Carl Thorpe.
Detained Under Mental Health Act
Following the verdict, Bramble was detained under the Mental Health Act. He will remain in a secure mental health facility for ongoing treatment, putting public safety first.
