Five Teens Arrested in Shocking Reading Murder

Police have swooped on five teenagers after a 13-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Reading on Sunday afternoon (3 January). Four boys and one girl, all aged between 13 and 14 and from Berkshire, are now in custody. They face suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Tragedy at Bugs Bottom Fields

The chilling attack happened near Bugs Bottom fields, close to St Barnabas Road and Gravel Hill, just before 4pm. Despite emergency efforts, the young victim sadly died at the scene.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “This remains a very active investigation and a large scene-watch remains in place. We have arrested five young people in connection with this tragic incident.”
