Beaconsfield Man Caught Red-Handed with £10,000 of Cocaine and Class A to C Drugs
Christmas Eve Drug Bust
Rashid, 48, of Station Road, Beaconsfield, was slammed with serious drug charges after a Christmas Eve arrest last year. Norwich Crown Court heard how he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A, B, and possession of Class C drugs.
The drama unfolded when police stopped a VW at the BP petrol station in Acle. The vehicle had been hotly linked to drug supply. During the search, Rashid didn’t waste time: “Ok guys, hands up, drugs and money,” he admitted before being cuffed on suspicion of drug offences.
Police Find Massive Haul of Drugs and Cash
Officers uncovered a rucksack packed with blister packs of prescription meds, envelopes filled with cocaine wraps, a bucket of loose flowering cannabis, and various drug paraphernalia. In the glove box, cash envelopes stacked up.
The total haul included:
- £4,893 in cash
- 153 wraps of cocaine worth a street value of £10,000
- £2,000 worth of cannabis
Luxury Lifestyle Uncovered
Rashid’s primary address in Aylesbury revealed an annexe loaded with plush furnishings, immaculate decor, and a pristine Harley Davidson motorbike with private plates. High-ticket items like Apple Mac computers were also seized.
At his second home in Beaconsfield, police found £580 cash, tablets, CBD supplements, and cannabis sweets.
Proceeds of Crime Hearing Scheduled
Rashid faces a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing at Norwich Crown Court on Monday, 29 March 2021. Authorities are set to pursue confiscation of assets tied to his drug dealing empire.
