Three Teens Charged Over Shocking Reading Stabbing
Three teenagers have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm after 13-year-old Olly Stephens was fatally stabbed at a Reading beauty spot.
Tragedy in Emmer Green
The tragic attack happened on Sunday, 3 January, in Emmer Green, Reading. A 13-year-old girl and two boys, aged 13 and 14, all from Reading, now face serious charges. They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
In addition to murder and conspiracy charges, the 13-year-old girl also faces accusations of perverting the course of justice.
Others Released on Bail
Two other 13-year-old boys linked to the case have been released on bail with strict conditions until 1 February.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, leading the investigation, urged the community to come forward. He said:
“This continues to be a very difficult time for the family of Olly. Our thoughts remain with them.”

The Stephens family thanked the public for their kindness but requested privacy as they cope with their devastating loss. The police also warned against sharing details of the case on social media.
