Predator Barry Price Jailed for Shocking Teen Rapes
Barry Price, 24, was found guilty of four counts of rape, three of sexual assault, and two of false imprisonment at 1 Crown Court. The twisted predator posed as a teenage boy online to lure young girls into his trap.
Locked In Car and Taken to Hideout for Abuse
On October 28, 2019, Price met one of his victims, a teenage girl he’d groomed online. He locked her in his car and raped her before dragging her to a property in Gamlingay, where the abuse continued. He eventually dumped her at a train station, sneering, “Good luck getting home.”
Another Girl Targeted and Threatened
Days later, on November 7, 2019, Price tricked a 15-year-old girl with the same teenage boy ruse and took her to the Gamlingay property. There, he sexually assaulted and raped her. When she tried to escape, he threatened her and smashed her phone to stop her calling for help.
Judge Slams Price as Callous and Dangerous
Mr Recorder James Wood QC ripped into Price at sentencing, calling him “callous” and devoid of any remorse or empathy. He said Price meticulously planned the assaults and felt entitled to abuse his victims.
The judge warned Price poses a serious risk not just to children and young adults, but also to prison staff and the public. He praised the bravery of the two girls for speaking out and told Price, “The memory of what you did to them will stay with them forever.”
