Drug Suspect Escapes Hospital in Handcuffs!

Lewis Abubakar, 29, was nabbed on Wednesday in Bicester with a hefty stash of class A drugs in a car. Cops arrested him on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. After his arrest, Abubakar claimed a wrist injury and was taken to Horton General Hospital in Banbury for treatment.

Fled the Hospital in the Early Hours

Shockingly, Abubakar made a run for it from the A&E department in the early hours of Thursday morning—still cuffed. Police have so far failed to track him down.

Police Issue Urgent Appeal

“Abubakar fled from the hospital, still in handcuffs, in the early hours of Thursday,” said Sergeant Steve Willis from Banbury Police. “Despite our efforts, we have not found him. If you know where he is, call 999 immediately and quote reference 43210158051. Although we do not believe he is dangerous, please do not approach him.”
