Three Charged Over Fatal Stabbing of 16-Year-Old in Harold Wood
Teens and Young Man Held
A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were both arrested on Friday, 7 May, on suspicion of murder. By Wednesday, 12 May, they were officially charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Callum Hands, 20, from Romford, was also arrested on Sunday, 9 May, and charged with the same offences on 12 May.
Court Appearance and Remand
All three appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 12 May. They were remanded in custody and are set to face trial at the Old Bailey on Friday, 14 May.
Further Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
- A 16-year-old male was arrested on 7 May on suspicion of affray.
- An 18-year-old man was arrested on 10 May on suspicion of murder.
- A 24-year-old man was arrested on 11 May, also on suspicion of murder.
Three others tied to the case have been released on bail, expected back in court in early June.
Victim and Police Appeal
The charges stem from the murder of 16-year-old Daniel Laskos, who was fatally stabbed on Church Road, Harold Wood, on Friday, 7 May.
