Knife-Wielding Salisbury Man Caught After Aggression Spree
Brandon Snelgrove, 19, from Salisbury, has been slapped with a community order after pleading guilty to carrying a large knife and other offences. He faces 12 months under supervision, including six months of drug rehab, plus a £120 fine and a £114 victim surcharge.
Swift Police Action Ends Knife Threat
On November 6, cops rushed to a Salisbury home following reports of a violent man. Snelgrove was found armed with a large knife. Officers quickly disarmed and arrested him for possession of an offensive weapon.
Further Charges Brought After Rapid Investigation
At the scene, police uncovered more evidence, leading to additional charges for assaulting an officer and possession of a class A drug. The Volume Crimes Team (VCT) acted fast, getting the Crown Prosecution Service to approve charges and remand promptly.
“Our officers acted quickly to safely defuse the situation and ensure that no one was seriously hurt,” said Sergeant Joshua Bliss of the VCT.
“I’d like to commend the bravery of our officers when dealing with Snelgrove as he was armed with a knife, and for their diligence in ensuring a charge and making sure Snelgrove was remanded in custody.”
