Woman Dies in M60 Crash as Police Launch Appeal

Tragic Collision on Busy Motorway

Police are hunting witnesses after a woman in her 30s died following a collision on the M60 motorway. The smash happened just before 8am on Tuesday 18 May 2021 near marker post 10.3.

A box van was involved in the crash. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but sadly the woman was pronounced dead at once. The van driver stayed at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

No Arrests as Investigation Continues

Greater Manchester Police have made no arrests so far. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe. PC Simon Venguedasalon said:

“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the woman’s family, who we’re supporting at this incredibly difficult time.”

Police Plea: Speak Up if You Saw Anything

The crash occurred during the hectic morning rush hour, when many commuters were on the road. Officers are calling on anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward immediately.
