Akeem Kelliott, 30, was found skulking in bushes by Kent Police after terrorising his victim with a vicious campaign of abuse, including punches, kicks, and even spit.
15 Months Behind Bars for Savage Attacker
The Herne Hill man admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of common assault. Maidstone Crown Court sentenced him to 15 months in prison on 20 May 2021.
Violent Rampage Across Streets of London
- On 22 January 2021, Kelliott punched his victim in the face and shoved her to the ground during a row in Richmond Road.
- He dragged her by the hair through a stairwell, doused her with alcohol, and spat at her.
- On 5 February, he landed multiple blows to her face in Rochester High Street.
- When she fled home, he followed inside and threatened more harm.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage
“Kelliott inflicted serious injuries on his victim and caused her to live in fear of further threats and assaults,” said investigating officer PC Max Turner.
“Victims of domestic abuse show great courage when they report offences to the police and I am under no illusion how difficult it was for this woman to reach out to us for help.”
