Scottish footie fan fights for life after smashing hotel room and plunging from sixth floor at Wembley

A Scottish football supporter who came down for the England vs Scotland clash at Wembley is now battling for his life after trashing a swanky four-star hotel room and leaping from a sixth-floor window in West London.

Chaos at Corus Hotel, Lancaster Gate

Late on Friday night, police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the Corus Hotel in Hyde Park after staff raised the alarm. The man had been drinking heavily throughout the day and was staying with a mate in a room costing around £180 per night on the sixth floor.

Sources say the room was left wrecked in the chaos. Officers arrived to find a crime scene in place and treated the injured man with first aid while waiting for paramedics. Medical gear and blankets were spread out near the scene, with a hotel kettle spotted among the wreckage.

Rushed to Major Trauma Unit

The injured fan was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in West London, a major trauma centre, where he remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, the second guest who shared the room was forced to find alternative accommodation elsewhere in the area.

Investigation Underway

Met Police officers spent the evening interviewing hotel management and staff as they pieced together what sparked the alarming incident. Both the Met and London Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.

This dramatic episode has cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a memorable football weekend.
