Tragic Death of Girl Hit on Watling Street
A young girl, named locally as Lilly Lockwood, died after a collision on Watling Street, near Meadow Way, just before 7pm on Saturday 10 July.
She was rushed to a London hospital but sadly passed away on the evening of Monday 12 July.
Driver Arrested and Released on Bail
A man in his 50s, behind the wheel of a yellow Audi S1, was arrested before Lilly’s death. He faces charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while impaired. He has since been bailed until Tuesday 3 August.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the crash, the pedestrian, or the yellow Audi S1 before the incident.
