Thief Nabbed After String of Shopliftings in Shepway and Maidstone
A kleptomaniac spree rocked Shepway last summer, with nine separate thefts of booze and food reported at the Co-op on Northumberland Road between 9 and 27 July 2021.

Not far away, on 8 June, Sainsbury’s in Loose Road had its own troubles when a swig of alcohol was snatched in another brazen theft.
Police Crack Case and Arrest Suspect
After piecing together the clues, cops arrested Dougie Frankham, 35, from Highland Road, Maidstone on 28 July.
He now faces ten counts of theft. The alleged shoplifter was sent straight to Medway Magistrates’ Court and remanded in custody to appear on 29 July.
