Early Morning Attack in Recreation Ground Sparks Police Hunt
Stranger Attacks Man at Dawn
A man was set upon at around 4.40am on Tuesday 28 September 2021 while walking through a local recreation ground. An unknown attacker allegedly dragged him off the path, shoved him into a bush, and punched him in the stomach.
Victim Fights Back and Escapes
The assailant then rifled through the victim’s pockets, but the victim managed to defend himself and fled the scene before further harm was done.
Police Seek CCTV and Witnesses
PC Charlotte Grant said: “Because it happened so early and the offender had his hood up, the victim couldn’t provide a clear description.”
Police urge anyone with CCTV overlooking the park, or dashcam footage from nearby vehicles, to come forward.
