Blaze Breaks Out in Second-Floor Flat – Firefighters Act Fast
Station Commander Chris Davidson praised the quick response after a fierce fire broke out in a second-floor flat, causing heavy damage to the property and its balcony.
Swift Action Contained Fire to One Flat
“Firefighters faced an intense blaze,” said Davidson. “Thanks to their fast action and professionalism, the fire was contained to the flat itself. Thankfully, no one was inside at the time.”
Some residents evacuated on their own, while most stayed safely in unaffected flats.
Multiple Fire Stations Rush to Scene
- Fire Brigade called at 7.17pm
- Fire under control by 7.44pm
- Crews attended from Woodford, Chingford, Walthamstow, Leytonstone, and Plaistow
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
