Man in Life-Threatening Condition After Post-QPR Match Head Injury
Just after 9.50pm on Friday, November 19, police on duty after the Championship clash between QPR and Luton Town found a 52-year-old man suffering a serious head injury.
The victim, from the Luton area, was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service and remains in a life-threatening condition. His family has been informed.
Possible Assault After the Match
Officers believe the man may have been attacked or caught up in disorder near Uxbridge Road, close to Davenport Road, following the game. Enquiries are ongoing to confirm exactly how the injury happened.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detectives from the Met’s Central West BCU are hunting for anyone who saw trouble break out after the match or witnessed anything suspicious.
Detective Constable Arrash Faghihi said: “This man sustained a serious head injury, and it is vital that we make contact with witnesses quickly. The area was extremely busy after the match and there will undoubtedly be many people with information that will assist the police. I need them to get in touch as detectives work to build a complete picture of what happened on Friday night.”
Police also want to see any mobile phone footage or photos that could shed light on the incident.
