Tragic End to Search for Missing Woman Willow Du Plooy
Willow Du Plooy, 21, vanished last Friday around 5pm. Her disappearance was reported to police the following day. A grim discovery was made after a search at Cherwell Valley Services — a woman’s body.
Death Treated as Unexplained but Not Suspicious
Police say the death isn’t suspicious, but unexplained. A file will be sent to the coroner for further investigation. Detective Inspector Krista Thompson said:
“Very sadly, following a search, we have located a woman’s body. Although formal identification has not taken place, we believe this to be Willow.
“Willow’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.”

DI Thompson added:
“I want to thank everyone who shared our appeal. Our thoughts, and those of everyone at Cherwell Valley Police, are with Willow’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
